The ITS World Congress is the most prestigious exhibition and academic conference in the field of intelligent transportation systems, and is held in major cities on three continents: America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Bucheon City was awarded the 'Hall of Fame Award' in recognition of ITS technology at the 3th General Assembly held in Singapore in 2019.

During this general meeting, Bucheon City and Bucheon City Corporation are participating in the Korean Pavilion operated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (Director of Roads, Yoon-sang Lee) under the theme of 'DNA BUCHEON (Data. Network. Artificial Intelligence BUCHEON)'.
With the support of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, the city plans to lay the foundation for real-time collection of vehicle movement data (traffic volume, travel speed, queues, etc.) across the city by next year.
In addition, through the SDN (Software Defined Networks)-based smart network environment, which is a plan to expand throughout the city, it plans to control and converge various services at the city level and upgrade it to a smart city environment that can embrace a variety of rapidly introduced technologies.

In particular, Bucheon City is the first city in the world to be able to demonstrate AI-based advanced transportation services without restrictions based on mobility data collected in real time across the city, drawing great attention from participants from many technology companies around the world.
