□ The Seoul Digital Foundation and the Korea International Trade Association signed an MOU for 'technology verification support between excellent startups with smart city technology and large/mid-sized companies'.

□ At the signing ceremony held on the 21st (Thursday) at COEX Startup Branch in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Seoul Digital Foundation Chairman Kang Kang-sik and Korea International Trade Association Vice Chairman Lee Kwan-seop signed the MOU on behalf of both organizations.

□ Based on this MOU, these organizations will ▲Support for digital transformation cooperation between large/mid-sized companies and technology startups, ▲Establish a technology verification (PoC) support system between large/mid-sized companies and technology startups, ▲Large/medium companies and start-ups to strengthen their global competitiveness.

□ After signing a partnership with the Korea International Trade Association, the Seoul Digital Foundation plans to actively cooperate in areas such as establishing a mutual cooperation network, linking excellent technology startups, and disseminating results.

□ The private market technology verification support will be provided for 3 months from next month through demand matching between startups with smart city technology and large/mid-sized companies.
○ Last September, 9 innovative companies in the CES Seoul Pavilion with smart city technology were identified for their willingness to participate in the technology verification and discovery of demand sources.
○ In 10~November, innovative startups and private verification demanders (large companies, medium-sized companies) are matched, and companies that are matched will support active business linkage such as technology verification support and on-site test bed provision.

□ In addition, if the results of the technical verification are excellent, the two organizations plan to explore various ways of cooperation so that they can continuously contribute to the creation of synergies in the innovative ecosystem by examining the possibility of additional business linkage and discovering opportunities for joint collaboration.

□ Kang Kang-sik, chairman of the Seoul Digital Foundation, said, “This project is meaningful in that it provides excellent startups with an opportunity to verify their technology for introducing new solutions and supports their capabilities. The foundation for company-wide cooperation will be laid for the possibility of entering the global market.”

□ Kwanseop Lee, Vice President of the Korea International Trade Association, said, “This testbed project plays a big role in that it will cooperate with the Seoul Digital Foundation, a leading organization that is striving for a competitive digital Seoul, in technology verification. And we will further expand open innovation.”
