□ The city of Daejeon announced that it would hold the 'Daejeon Metropolitan City Smart City Policy Training' in a non-face-to-face manner for 25 high-ranking Bolivian civil servants for 1 days from October 8 to November 23.

ㅇ This curriculum was prepared to support Bolivia's smart city promotion and urban problem solving as part of the International Development Cooperation (ODA) project.

ㅇ Recently, Bolivia has a great interest in Korea’s smart city policies, such as promoting the Santa Cruz smart city construction project jointly with Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), but it is necessary to develop related technologies and education due to lack of experience in smart city construction. situation.

ㅇ In this training, Daejeon plans to share Daejeon’s smart city experience and specific best practices under the themes of policy trends for smart city promotion, urban space function enhancement, and next-generation mobility.

ㅇ In addition to smart city development, lectures will be held on crime prevention environment design (hereinafter referred to as CPTED) that can be applied to underdeveloped areas where the crime rate increases due to alienation from urban development.
ㅇ Through this training, trainees will analyze their own urban development status, come up with improvement plans, and establish and present an action plan that can be applied in practice. This is expected to be of practical help to Bolivia's urban development.

□ Daejeon Mayor Huh Tae-jeong said, “Through this training course, it is very meaningful to spread Daejeon’s smart city construction experience and crime prevention environment improvement model to Bolivia and to inform Daejeon. I hope that Daejeon’s smart city policy will be of great help,” he added.
