Ulsan Smart City Creation Expected to 'Resilience'

 

Ulsan City announced that it will organize the 'Smart City Business Council' and hold its first meeting at 28:10 a.m. on October 30 at the 7th floor situation room of City Hall to improve the quality of life and city competitiveness and contribute to the realization of a sustainable city.
The meeting will be conducted with a letter of appointment, election of vice-chairpersons, report on the progress of Ulsan city's smart city development, interim report on the smart city basic plan, and discussion.

The 'Smart City Business Council' is chaired by the deputy mayor of the economy and is composed of a total of 7 members including 8 ex officio members and 16 commissioned members, and the term of the members is 2 years.
The committee consisted of public officials, project implementers, urban planning or information and communication-related experts, and smart city service-related experts.
The main role is to discuss overall matters related to the creation of a smart city in Ulsan, such as the implementation plan for the smart city construction project, the management, operation and takeover of smart city infrastructure, and the completion inspection of the smart city construction project.

Meanwhile, the 'Ulsan City Smart City Basic Plan' is a statutory plan established in accordance with the 「Smart City Creation and Industry Promotion Act」. It will contain a mid- to long-term comprehensive plan for building a smart city model.
The vision was presented as 'Ulsan, a future city that can be felt by citizens'.
The goal is a city of collective intelligence through connection, a sustainable industrial city, and a digital talent city that further enhances the value of people.
Key promotion strategies are ▲Smart administrative service ▲Make new technology performance test site (test bed) ▲Promoting big data collection and utilization ▲Building a global network hub (global network hub) for manufacturing innovation ▲Fostering smart manufacturing manpower and nurturing start-ups ▲Smart industrial city It is composed of six areas, including the establishment of the foundation.

Ulsan City will continue to listen to various opinions on smart city policies, such as public hearings, after the report meeting, and reflect them in the smart city master plan to receive MOLIT approval within the year and finalize it.
An Ulsan city official said, "We will build Ulsan, a smart city that can converge and combine cutting-edge information and communication technologies with the city's infrastructure by collecting various opinions from the Smart City Business Council members."
