The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport has finally selected 2022 destinations* for the 'living-friendly urban regeneration smart technology support project' to be promoted in 13.
* Gyeonggi (Ansan, Uijeongbu), Gangwon (Taebaek), Chungbuk (Jecheon (2), Cheongju), Chungnam (Gongju), Jeonbuk (Gimje, Namwon), Jeonnam (Hwasun), Gyeongbuk (Gimcheon), Gyeongnam (Gimhae), Jeju (Jeju)

□ Living-friendly urban regeneration smart technology support project is a project to solve regional problems and improve the living conditions by establishing smart services linked to this project in projects that have already been selected for the Urban Regeneration New Deal project.
ㅇ In this competition, the evaluation committee composed of urban regeneration and smart city experts evaluated 'urban regeneration project connectivity' and 'service sustainability' with a focus on the total project cost of 105.6 billion won* (63.3 billion won from the government, 42.3 billion won from the local funds) for the final selected project site. billion) to support
*(State subsidy rate) 40% in special cities, 50% in metropolitan cities and special autonomous cities, 60% in other cases/up to 5 million won per project site

 

□ The main services of the target sites selected for the living-friendly smart business are as follows.

➊ Living & Welfare: Smart Culture and Arts Performance Street (Ansan, Gyeonggi-do)

ㅇ As a general neighborhood project (selected in 18), Ansan, Gyeonggi-do, is in the process of improving the street environment to improve the street environment of Seoul University of the Arts and Gwangdeok District.
ㅇ A smart pole* equipped with a camera and speaker will be installed on the street to transmit the performance scene to the real-time media wall and build a smart busking system that links the sound with the speaker.
* Street lights equipped with state-of-the-art equipment such as shooting cameras, speakers, public WiFi, CCTV, and emergency bells

 

➋ Safety and Firefighting: Smart Clean Safety Zone (Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do)

ㅇ The city of Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province, is creating a base for sharing and communication to care for the underprivileged and to solve village problems as part of the Our Neighborhood Restoration Project (selected in 19).
ㅇ In connection with the urban regeneration project, a space sterilization system of a light sterilization method that kills viruses with LED lighting will be built in a nearby facility for the elderly (the senior citizen) to provide a constant quarantine environment for the elderly, who are vulnerable to infectious diseases.

 

➌ Transportation: Smart Snow Removal (Jecheon, Chungcheongbuk-do)

ㅇ Jecheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do is promoting a safe alleyway development project that improves settlement conditions such as maintenance of abandoned buildings and replacement of old floors and fences as a residential support type project (selected in 20).
ㅇ Install sensors that detect road surface conditions such as sound wave detection* and image analysis on steep slopes of alleyways and establish a smart snow removal system that remotely operates electric heating wires to prevent pedestrian falls and vehicle accidents on icy roads.
* Detects the road surface by analyzing the sound waves that change according to the road surface condition during vehicle passage

 

➍ Energy/Environment: Eco-friendly Smart Farm (Gimhae-si, Gyeongsangnam-do)

ㅇ Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, is implementing the Biteollim Center construction project to provide a cultural and welfare space for local residents as a central urban area project (selected in 19).
ㅇ Create an eco-friendly smart farm using ICT technology in the roof garden of the building and provide a place for residents of the old and new downtown to exchange through educational programs to experience urban agriculture.

 

□ Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport Kim Gyu-cheol, head of the Urban Regeneration Project Planning Group, said, “It is necessary to provide a safe and convenient living environment by using smart technology even in decaying and aging areas.”
