– Advancement of preliminary business solutions and establishment of public open data hub
The Chuncheon City Government was selected as the target for the Smart City Challenge main project.
Accordingly, over the next two years, 2 billion won will be invested, including government funds, to realize a citizen-participating, zero-carbon city.
The Smart Challenge project is a project in which businesses, citizens, and local governments work together to solve various urban problems such as transportation, safety, environment, and welfare by applying innovative technologies and creative ideas.
The city government was selected as the target for the preliminary project in April of last year, completed the demonstration of the preliminary project with a government budget of 4 billion won, and became the target for the main project.
By selecting the target site for the main project, the expansion project will be promoted with a project cost of 2 billion won (120 billion won from the government, 60 billion won from the city) for two years.
During the preliminary project, many citizens participated and demonstrated the preliminary project solution, e-mobility carbon credit & reward integrated platform construction, internal combustion engine-linked immobility credit method, and carbon reduction solution of taxi sharing service.
In this project, based on the empirical results, the preliminary business solution will be advanced and a public open data hub will be established.
In addition, it plans to expand services such as autonomous driving mobility service linked to KORAIL and establishment of an electric motorcycle battery sharing ecosystem.
In particular, it plans to implement a carbon-neutral city based on a citizen participatory carbon credit platform by expanding citizen participation measures to complete the service.
