On the 26th, Chungnam Agricultural Technology Institute and Rural Development Administration held a smart 'rice drone direct seeding' conference in Yangmyeon, Buyeo-gun.
The annual meeting was attended by more than 100 people, including officials from the Provincial Agricultural and Rural Development Administration, Rural Development Administration, and farmers.
Direct planting of rice is a technology that can reduce labor costs by 85% and operating costs by 83% as it does not require the installation of nail beds and machine transplanting.
The province plans to expand the area of direct sowing cultivation to 2025ha, which is 10% of the total rice cultivation area in the province, by 1 to develop it into the nation's largest direct-sown rice cultivation complex.
A total of 2025 billion won will be invested by 150, and 37 billion won will be invested this year.
Jeong Dae-young, head of technology supply division at the Provincial Agricultural Research and Extension Services, said, “Direct seeding of rice will greatly contribute to vitality as a cultivation technology in response to an aging rural population and a decrease in the labor force. It can also be used,” he said.
