– Training of missing person search manual in preparation for Eulji exercise, training on video transmission method

On the 2nd, Gwangju Metropolitan City held a drone operator training and competition to improve drone operation capabilities in the Drone Park area in Buk-gu.

This competition was prepared as a precautionary measure as social distancing was lifted this year, and the Eulji exercise, which had not been conducted due to the Corona 19 situation, is expected to be conducted at a high intensity, including actual training.

23 crew members, including Drone Commander Kim Seung-gyu, from Gwangju City will participate in the training.

In particular, for the first time in the country, a video shot using a drone will be transmitted in real time to the city's general situation room.

In addition, Lee Byung-soo, deputy director of drone operation, will practice practical drone image transmission methods under the guidance of the missing person search manual at the disaster site and the guidance of Dr.

Previously, the Gwangju City Drone Operation Team participated in civil defense day discussion training following the launching ceremony in March and anti-terrorism training at the Hyundai Archery World Cup in Gwangju City.

Gwangju City plans to have Gwangju City's drone operation team participate in the Eulji exercise in August to cultivate combat adaptation capabilities and increase training effectiveness.

Park Nam-eon, head of the city's civil safety office, said, "We will further strengthen Gwangju's disaster response capabilities through participation in training and activation of actual deployments of private and private drone operators, which were first introduced in Gwangju."
