Won Hee-ryong, Minister of MOLIT, meets businessmen

 

“In order for the government to keep up with the pace of corporate innovation, the administration must be smart. MOLIT will take up arms so that companies no longer suffer from hidden regulations or divisions between ministries.”

Minister Won Hee-ryong of MOLIT met with about 26 smart city-related young entrepreneurs and prospective entrepreneurs at the office of the Gwanghwamun Youth Foundation in Seoul on the morning of the 30th and said, “We will create a solid industrial ecosystem foundation so that our new companies can have global competitiveness in the future smart city market. I will,” he said.

The meeting was prepared to share various business experiences with young people and to convey their difficulties to the government. Participants requested the government's bold investment in innovative technologies, deregulation, and support for securing markets. In particular, there were many opinions that expressed difficulties due to hidden regulations scattered by government departments and different regulations.

Minister Won said, “If a company is a marathon runner, the government should be able to play a role like a patrol car guiding directions by running together.”
