The number of members of Bakgi, a large-scale waste collection service, exceeded 53.

'Subtraction' secured 121 members, a 53% increase from the previous year, and the number of monthly active users (MAU) also recorded between 2022 and 9 as of 10. This corresponds to an unrivaledly high number of users despite the industry's characteristic of waste discharge.

According to an official, “The subtraction app usage rate jumped compared to last year. The cumulative number of applications in the first half of 2021 was 8, but as of October 2022, the cumulative number of applications recorded 52, an increase of 550%.”

'Subtraction' has a technology that automatically classifies the size of the waste with artificial intelligence (AI) object recognition technology and calculates a quote when large waste such as a sofa is taken with its mobile app. Inconvenient processes such as finding an existing community center or attaching a collection sticker can be omitted. In addition, it is continuously promoting the introduction and development of the industry's first innovative services such as data management system establishment, local government-based network formation, and AI-based multi-object recognition.
