Meanwhile, the delegation and the Ukrainian government announced 'six leading projects' that the two governments will focus on through cooperation.

The six leading projects include ▲Kiiv Transportation Master Plan, ▲Uman City Smart City Master Plan, ▲Boryspil Airport Modernization, ▲Bucha City Sewage Treatment Facility, ▲Kahouka Dam Reconstruction Support, and ▲Railway Route Speed-up. (Kiu-Poland, etc.) projects are included.

First, Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND) plans to establish a smart transportation master plan for the Kiiu region (including the capital city of Kiiu), similar to the metropolitan area of Korea.

We plan to establish a metropolitan transportation network and business plan to restore transportation facilities destroyed by war into smart, low-carbon-based mobility infrastructure, and also support mixed-use development plans for major areas connected to the transportation network.

In particular, we plan to discover key transportation projects covering the capital city of Kiiu and the nearby state of Kieu and actively promote the participation of Korean companies in these projects.

Additionally, KIND and Korea Water Resources Corporation plan to establish a smart city master plan for Uman City in central Ukraine.

In order to develop Uman into a smart city when rebuilding Ukraine, we plan to present a smart city infrastructure and solution plan including mobility, disaster response, and eco-friendly energy.

Korea Airports Corporation plans to support the modernization of Boryspil Airport, Ukraine's largest international airport.

Boryspil Airport is expected to handle approximately 80% of Ukraine's post-war aviation demand, and plans to pursue the establishment of a comprehensive plan covering everything from operation to infrastructure maintenance, including system modernization, safety-related facility maintenance, and runway maintenance and expansion.

The Korea Environmental Industry and Technology Institute plans to support the reconstruction of sewage treatment facilities in Bucha City near Kiiu.

This facility is necessary to create a comfortable living environment for local residents, and we plan to support the establishment of a plan for installation.

Korea Water Resources Corporation also plans to support the restoration of the Kahouka Dam in Kherson Province, which was destroyed last June. The Ukrainian government is in a hurry to restore the Kahouka Dam, and Korea plans to provide technical support for the reconstruction of the dam and power plant.

Lastly, the National Railway Corporation supports speeding up and improving major railway lines in Ukraine. We plan to support the establishment of business plans for major routes proposed by the Ukrainian side (Kiiv-Poland border, etc.).

MOLIT announced that it plans to push for the completion of planning and feasibility studies sequentially for the six leading projects starting next year, and plans to actively support the participation of Korean companies by promoting follow-up infrastructure projects using the plans and standards established by Korea. .
