Digital platform government is a government-wide action project promoted by citizens, businesses, and the government to solve social problems together and create new values on a digital platform where all data is connected.

In order to provide preemptive customized services to the people, the government decided to promote digital government innovation, such as implementing a digital platform government based on data and artificial intelligence, and reflected a budget of KRW 9,262 billion in next year's government budget.

The two organizations agreed to cooperate with each other in the following aspects of the Digital Platform Government Realization Plan (April 4.14): ▲Establishment of a next-generation local administration system and local public agency integrated business platform ▲Establishment and operation of a regional DPG council ▲Development of innovative DPG policy tasks.

In the future, the city and the DPG Committee plan to cooperate in ▲ digital twin-based disaster prevention and response ▲ and holding the 'Hackteon Sejong' international university student cyber security competition and conference to create the foundation for a leading city in cyber security.

In addition, they promised mutual cooperation in areas such as establishing a digital platform government innovation network in which Sejong City-based universities, institutions, and companies participate, and decided to actively contribute to Sejong City's digital innovation.

In particular, the city plans to actively cooperate in realizing a digital platform government that reflects regional characteristics through the formation and operation of the DPG council, such as Sejong-type cloud, public my data, fostering the information protection industry, and promoting special opportunity development zones in the cyber sector.

Accordingly, the Sejong DPG Council, which will be operational from this day, will include educational institutions such as Korea University and Hongik University, professional institutions such as Sejong Techno Park and Daejeon Sejong Research Institute, and Naver Cloud and Vibe Company as local innovative companies.

Mayor Choi Min-ho said, “Sejong City is a city where cybersecurity is very important due to the concentration of national facilities such as government offices and national research complexes.” “We will make it a digital local government,” he said.
