In the event of a vehicle accident, we provide an e_Call service that automatically recognizes and reports the accident through the Baton SOS (motion sensing IoT terminal) installed in the vehicle. |
Regulatory exceptions
(Related regulations) |
- (Regulatory exception) Temporarily permit provision of vehicle accident e-call service related to technical standards for product inspection and performance certification of automatic speed news equipment
- (Target law) Technical standards for performance certification and product inspection of automatic news-reading equipment, Annex 1 (data and code transmission method reporting section, protocol definition)
|
Additional conditions |
① Allow automatic reporting to the National Fire Agency for vehicle accident emergency reporting (e-Call) service
- In the event of a traffic accident, automatic reporting to 119 in the event of an unconscious person is expected to reduce casualties through accurate location and prompt dispatch. It is believed that it will be easy to spread nationwide once the effectiveness is verified through a demonstration project.
- There are technical standards for performance certification and transmission standards for fire warning equipment, but vehicle fire reporting is directly related to safety, and although vehicle accident emergency reporting (e-Call) services are required in the event of a vehicle fire, these are defined in the standards. Since it cannot be used as a reporting method, related regulations are needed.
