Ulsan City announced that it will hold the 'Ulsan City Hub Intelligent City (Smart City) Creation Project Business Agreement Ceremony' in the City Hall conference room at 17 p.m. on Friday, November 5th.

The signing ceremony will be attended by Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom, National Assembly member Park Seong-min, Jung-gu Mayor Kim Young-gil, Ulsan University President Oh Yeon-cheon, Ulsan Techno Park Director Kwon Soo-yong, and representatives of the consortium participating in the project.

The 'Ulsan City-based Intelligent City (Smart City) Creation Project', which was selected in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport contest last May, will be promoted as a regional specialized project utilizing intelligent city (smart city) technology.

On this day, Ulsan City and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport signed an agreement last August, and for the smooth execution of the project, mutual cooperation and operation between the city, Jung-gu, and participating organizations (8), as well as the content, scope, and role of the project It is meaningful to decide, etc.

Looking at the main project details, 2025 services in 4 fields will be established in Jung-gu Friendship Innovation City and Seongan-dong from this year to 14.

The four fields are △Mobility △Energy △Life △Data, etc., and the 4 services include demand response (DRT) self-driving buses, new and renewable energy measurement systems, and intelligent (smart) services. ) Transportation facilities, data convergence innovation center, etc.

A total of 433 billion won will be invested in the project (200 billion won each from government and city funds, and 33 billion won from private investment).

Ulsan City plans to establish an implementation plan by December and begin construction after receiving approval from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport.

Ulsan Mayor Kim Du-gyeom said, “Through this project, we hope that the Jung-gu Friendship Innovation City and the Seongan-dong area will be revitalized regionally and economically, completing one axis of Ulsan’s development.”
