On the 21st, a demonstration of the revenue sharing taxi roof Goago platform was held.

On the 21st, Pohang City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, held a demonstration of a revenue-sharing taxi roof advertising platform, which is the main service of the 'Pohang City Smart City Challenge Project'.

In March of last year, we received government funding of 3 billion won through the 'Smart City Challenge Main Project' hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, and have been promoting the project since August of last year.

In this project, which solves urban problems through collaboration between companies with excellent technology and local governments, eight services will be established in four major areas: smart city safety, smart transportation, digital administrative innovation, and data hub, and digitalization of the entire city will be implemented. We are pursuing a project with the goal of creating a futuristic smart city.

This demonstration was conducted in the following order: introduction of attendees, business status report, service demonstration, and introduction of a profit-sharing taxi roof advertising platform vehicle.

It was designed to build a user-centered, substantial service by sharing the development status to date and collecting opinions from various stakeholders.

The revenue-sharing taxi roof advertising platform is a service within 'digital administrative innovation' that uses big data, AI, and real-time city data collected using a camera built into the VRD (Vehicle Rooftop Display) mounted on the taxi roof and 20 types of sensors. This service provides data to each working department by applying (artificial intelligence) technology to display real-time floating population status, traffic information status, and harmful gas information on a map.

In addition, it has a business model that transmits commercial advertisements through the screen outside the VRD (Vehicle Rooftop Display) and independently covers business operating expenses based on advertising revenue, thereby securing the sustainability of the business.

In addition to general commercial advertising, Pohang City plans to provide free advertising to local small business owners until December 2024, when this project ends, and use it for various purposes such as publicity for city administration and disaster notification.
